Due to technical progress and the growth of economic ties between countries, the benefits from liberalized international trade and freedom of movement of foreign direct investments are increasing not only for industrialized countries but also for emerging markets experiencing accelerated development. This paper emphasizes the need for new trade cooperation approaches in response to the forces reshaping international business. It suggests the multilateral trading system must adjust to developments in trade and the trading environment. Key trade developments include the rise of global supply chains and a shift in trade power from the West to Asia. The research presents new models of foreign trade policy and interests, highlighting the importance of factor specificity in trade policy. The study analyzes models of foreign trade policy, trade interests indicated by export orientation and import sensitivity, protectionist pressures across political systems, and the rise of bilateral tendencies in north-south relations. The paper stresses that macroeconomic stability and increased investment, rather than free trade alone, are vital for economic growth.

Title	Comparison of Efficacy and Toxicity of Carboplatin or Cisplatin-Based Chemoradiotherapy in Elderly Patients with Locally Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Abstract	Read More... Concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) is the standard management approach for locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (LA-NSCLC). The optimal choice between Carboplatin and Cisplatin-based chemoradiotherapy for elderly patients remains uncertain. This study compares the efficacy and toxicity of these treatments in a cohort of 50 elderly patients over 65 years old diagnosed with LA-NSCLC. Patients were divided into two groups: one receiving Carboplatin with Paclitaxel, while the other received Cisplatin with Etoposide, both alongside thoracic radiotherapy. Overall survival rates were similar between the two regimens, with Carboplatin showing 45.5% and Cisplatin 35.1%. However, the Carboplatin group experienced significantly less toxicity, including anemia, leucopenia, thrombocytopenia, nausea, vomiting, and renal toxicity. These results suggest that while both regimens provide comparable survival outcomes, Carboplatin may be a more favorable option due to its reduced toxicity profile.

Title	Behavior of Concrete Beams Reinforced with Hybrid Steel and FRP Composites

Abstract	Read More... This paper presents a nonlinear finite element model to investigate the behavior of hybrid Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP) and steel reinforcement. Different types of FRP, specifically CFRP and GFRP, were used alongside steel rebars in concrete beams. The study was conducted using the finite element program "ANSYS". Nonlinear material models for the components of the concrete beam were utilized in the three-dimensional finite element models. The outcomes derived from finite element analysis were validated against experimental results. A comprehensive parametric study was conducted to explore the effect of replacing steel reinforcement with different types of FRP bars. The study demonstrated that the contribution of steel rebars to FRP rebars in concrete beams improved beam ductility and mitigated the unfavorable brittle failure of the concrete beam.
