ABSTRACT\nBACKGROUND: There is a need for a practical, inexpensive method to assess body composition in prımary school students In this study, we aimed to compare elementary school boys’ (10-13 age group) body composition who exercise and do not exercise by the method of bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA).\nMETHODS: Totally 38 male student of primary school level took part in the study. Experimental group consists of 22 male student whose age average 11.27 ± 0.63 year, height average 142.7 ±8,06cm, weight average 37.95 ±7.68 and who regularly practice football 2 hours in a day and 3 days in a week. Control group comprise of 16 male student whose age average 11.87 ± 1.40 year, height average 147.0 ±10,99 cm, weight average 37.55 ±11.04 kg and who isn’t regularly exercise. Experimental and control group’s body composition evaluated by the method of bioelectrical impedance analysis.\nRESULTS: We have found significant differences on body mass index of the experimental and control group’s (p<0.001), resistance measurement value and the phase angle (p<0.005).\nCONCLUSİON: Regular exercise has positive effect on the body composition at children.

Background: In many cases of breast cancer, the aberrant methylation of TP53 gene leads to uncontrolled cell proliferation and apoptosis inhibition. Furthermore, expression of oncogenes which are under the control of P53 protein could be altered. Survivin as a conspicuous example of this category plays important roles in tumorigenesis, drug resistance and apoptosis inhibition. Some compounds with herbal origins could potentially affect the methylation status and expression levels of genes. Herbal medicines, Because of their natural origins and fewer side effects, have attracted a great deal of interest in cancer therapy.\nMaterials and Methods: cytotoxic effect of dichloromethane extracts of Scrophularia plant on MCF-7 cell line was assessed in our previous study. In the present study, cell death ELISA and TUNEL tests were used to investigate the occurrence of apoptosis in the treated cells. MSP was employed to assess the changes in methylation status of the TP53 gene promoter. Furthermore, quantitative real time PCR was utilized to evaluate the resulting changes in TP53 and survivin genes expression.\nResults: Cell death ELISA and TUNEL assays confirmed the occurrence of apoptosis. MSP test revealed a significant change in the methylation status of TP53 promoter. QRT-PCR showed an increased TP53 gene expression in the treated cells while a significant decrease in survivin mRNA was evident. \nConclusion: dichloromethane extract of S. atropatana returned the TP53 gene promoter hypermethylation to normal state. This plant could be a promising source for production of epi-drugs due to its apoptotic effects and reversal of TP53 epigenetic alterations.

Researchers throughout the years have been searching for\nmethods to improve the available technologies to ease the users\nworldwide. In medical industries, researchers have made many\nimprovements and development in medical equipment’s to ease the\nmedical professionals in serving patients. This work is the\ncontinuation of the previous research work in providing complete set\nof data for analysis on human behavior to set an accurate threshold\nfor device detection. In this work, heart rate is monitored to all age\ngroups for both genders wirelessly from remote locations. Results\nshown that these various age group is giving average reading that\ncomplies to the benchmark reading and is able to provide the\nnecessary threshold value for future device improvement and\nenhancement.

Garlic (Allium sativum L.) is one of the major allium crops grown in the highlands of Bale, south eastern Ethiopia. Rust which is caused by Puccinia allii is the most important disease of garlic in these areas. This disease can be controlled by application of fungicides such as Nativo SC 300 and Tebuconazole. To determine the optimum Nativo SC 300 (Trifloxystrobin 100g/l + Tebuconazole 200g/l) spray frequency for the control of this pathogen a study was conducted at research station of Sinana Agricultural Research Center, Ethiopia. Three different spray frequencies, five times (every 7-days), three times (every 14-days) and two times (every 21-days) starting from the onset of the disease were used. The experiment was laid down in Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. The lowest average rust severity level (1%) was recorded from plots which were treated with the fungicide five times in weekly interval where as the maximum average severity level (83.3%) was recorded from the unsprayed plots. All fungicide treated plots gave significantly (p < 0.05) higher total bulb yield than the untreated check plots. Among fungicide treated plots, the maximum total yield (13.92 t/ha) was obtained from plots which were protected from the disease by spraying the fungicide three times in 14-days interval. Partial budget analysis revealed that application of Nativo SC 300 three times between 14-days interval gave the highest net benefit. Therefore, application of Nativo SC 300) three times between 14-days interval starting from the on-set of the disease results high total bulb yield as well as higher net benefit on the chemical application.

Hidden Markov model (HMM) is a powerful mathematical tool for prediction and recognition but it is not easy to understand deeply its essential disciplines. Previously, I made a full tutorial on HMM in order to support researchers to comprehend HMM. However HMM goes beyond what such tutorial mentioned when observation may be signified by continuous value such as real number and real vector instead of discrete value. Note that state of HMM is always discrete event but continuous observation extends capacity of HMM for solving complex problems. Therefore, I do this research focusing on HMM in case that its observation conforms to a single probabilistic distribution. Moreover, mixture HMM in which observation is characterized by the mixture model of partial probability density functions is also mentioned. Mathematical proofs and practical techniques relevant to continuously observational HMM are main subjects of the research.

Nano-SiO2 was extracted successfully from rice husk ash. The obtained SiO2 powders were monoclinic crystal system, mesoporous structure and large specific surface area (258.3 m2/g), particle size (10 to 15 nm). Nano-SiO2 prepared from rice husk ash increases the compressive strength of reactive powder concrete with different contents of SiO2 (3, 6, 9 and 12% of cement weight) and different ratios of water/cement (0.23; 0.25; 0.35 and 0.48). When the nano-SiO2 content was 9%, the compressive strength of reactive powder concrete reached the highest value in all the ratios of water/cement researched. When the ratio of water/cement is 0.25 and the nano-SiO2 content is 9%, the compressive strength of reactive concrete powder reached the highest value of 112.5 MPa. When the ratio of water/cement is 0.48 and the nano-SiO2 content is 9%, the nano-SiO2 has the greatest impact on the reactive powder concrete mixture: the compressive strength increased 33.5%
