The purpose of this study is to examine the acceptance of mobile technology in university libraries in Pakistan using the Technology Acceptance Model. A survey was conducted among 245 students from university libraries in higher education institutions to gather data. The study employed statistical techniques such as descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression analyses to evaluate the acceptance behavior of mobile technology among students. The findings indicate that students heavily rely on mobile technology and that ease-of-use and perceived usefulness are significant factors influencing their acceptance of new technology in libraries. The study serves as an initial step towards integrating mobile technology in Pakistani libraries, paving the way for digital transformation. The results provide a reference for future research aimed at understanding student requirements for implementing this technology across higher education institutions in Pakistan.
