In this work, we designed and constructed a two-digit digital counter. The digital circuit counter was designed using BCD 4506 binary counter and 7 segment display outputs. The circuit was modelled using Proteus, demonstrating that the design concept was effective. The circuit was implemented and tested on a breadboard before being transferred to a motherboard. The device operated in two modes: manual switch incrementing with each press, and automatic incrementing via a 555 timer clock. Ultimately, we successfully developed a two-digit counter capable of counting from 0 to 99 using a 4026IC, shadow sensor, and 555 timer. The input clock pulses were derived from the shadow sensor.
