The study explores the optimization of shunt active power filters (APF) in aircraft electric systems using an Adaptive Tabu Search Algorithm and compares its performance with Fuzzy Logic Control. The research focuses on enhancing the compensation capability of APFs through the constant instantaneous power control strategy, targeting improvements in Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and operational speed. Simulated results obtained via MATLAB models are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach, offering insights and recommendations for selecting the most efficient control technique for aircraft shunt APF applications.
