Mystic conduct fundamentally requires the initiation step of repentance. This principle has been extensively explored by gnostic poets, including Molana and Sanaei Qaznavi. This study provides a comparative analysis of these two poets concerning the theme of repentance, utilizing a library-based research methodology. Our findings indicate that both poets draw extensively from the Quran, hadith, and various narrations in their treatment of repentance. Molana elaborates on this concept through short narrative stories, encompassing over 100 couplets, portraying a detailed exploration of repentance's stages and conditions. In contrast, Sanaei conveys this theme succinctly within fourteen couplets, highlighting its significance as the initial step in mystic conduct. This research underscores the pivotal role of repentance in the spiritual pathways delineated by these poets, with Molana offering more expansive guidance on its intricacies.
