Visualization of Big Data with Hadoop

Swamil Singh, Viplav Mandal, Sanjay Srivastava

Big data represents a large volume of structured and unstructured data, which can be effectively managed using Hadoop, an open-source framework. This paper explores the visualization of website log files, treated as big data, using Tableau, a business intelligence tool. These log files, sourced from web servers, contain critical information such as timestamps, IP addresses, URLs, session IDs, gender, country, and state. By analyzing these log files, we can gain insights into user behavior and preferences. Hadoop facilitates data refinement and provides robust large-scale processing capabilities, particularly when used in conjunction with the Cloudera platform. Additionally, the paper demonstrates the use of a trial version of Tableau for data visualization, highlighting its effectiveness in processing and interpreting big data.
